strange_raptors: Rat from Spirited Away reenacting Chihiro's defeat of the bug (Spirited Away)
Bleh, I'm feeling a little under the weather today. As I have now achieved the one thing on my to do list (email scary people), I hereby devote the rest of my energy to making a post of awesome things. If you have been on gtalk recently, you may have had me spamming you with some or all of these things. I make no apologies.

My first thing would have been CAT SNUGGLING DOLPHIN footage, recently posted on cuteoverload.com. But it's been made private, and is therefore no longer available. I suspect government forces at work, trying to stop a complete meltdown of the internets due to the profound cuteness. As a substitute, I present this photo from cuteoverload.com. Sloths ftw.

Dragon Age 2 have been posting many things in my facebook feed, but none more cute than this. Why yes, it is the companions from DA2 as My Little Ponies, why do you ask? (so cute, especially little emo grumpy Balthier Fenris -- *flail*)

This looks like a really nice recipe, or maybe it's just that the cold spring makes me long for clear flavours. Either way, the combination of egg, chicken, noodles, miso, and green stuff makes even my uncooperative stomach feel a bit hungry.

Technology is getting really impressive these days, but some of it seems a little superfluous. However, I think the awesome people at LG have found the perfect balance between awesome and useful.

(The video contains music, which is well worth listening to)

In other news, I will never have to do another exam ever again. Hurrah!
strange_raptors: And then raptors came through the stargate ... (Raptor Dream)
Last night, Footnote and I finished watching Nausicaa, a film by Hayao Miyazaki and released under the Studio Ghibli umbrella. In the catalogue of Studio Ghibli films it's the earliest, created in 1984. It's a very good film, which I will happily lend to anyone who wants to see it. But! The most important thing about it was a particular race of giant insects called "Ohmu". They have many many compound eyes (which change colour from blue to red when they get angry!) and a segmented shell, and cute little feeler things at the front. They also have glowing tentacles. Although this may not sound cute, I am relieved that other people on the internet find Ohmu cute. But I have greater ambitions than edible Ohmu ... can you not seriously imagine a baby suit that looks like an Ohmu? With eyes on the back of the hood, so that when they're crawling along THEY LOOK JUST LIKE AN OHMU!!!1!!!!11!!!!! And! And! And! When they're lying on their backs wanting to be tickled it will be like tickling the underside of an Ohmu!

Totally awesome.

When this plan comes to fruition I will post many, many pictures[1].

[1] N.B. Plan may not come to fruition for many years due to academic study, career, time/space constraints, or the end of the universe.

It's silly, but I am continuously amazed by the awesome that exists on the internet. Today's example is called: My Milk Toof. It describes (mostly photographically) the adventures of, you guessed it, milk teeth. It's ridiculously adorable, to the point where it makes me cry (that may also be down to exam stress, however). Enjoy!

I know trailers are meant to make you interested in a game, but this? This is ridiculous: Project Trico.

I know I make digs quite often at giant pandas, but I do feel guilty when I see things like this.
