Thievery and other related shenanigans
Apr. 1st, 2007 03:26 pmFirstly, before I forget, I shall impress upon you all the wondrance of the book "The Lies of Locke Lamora" by Scott Lynch (
scott_lynch). Book one of the Gentleman Bastards Sequence (how can anyone resist that title?), it has a lovely purple and silver cover, with nicely raised writing for the title and author, and is about 500 pages long. It does not start with a map. It has chapters divided into subsections. It has interludes within chapters. It has quotes from Shakespeare at the start of the sections. It also has good writing, an exciting plot, and really rather loveable characters.
In short, this is a good book. Buy it for yourselves instead of an Easter Egg.
In other news, have recently bought FFX, FFX-2 and Kingdom Hearts. With that and the book, I feel my revision will suffer. So, in honour of
foreverdirt (whose genius continually restores my faith in humanity), my world view will go something like this:
The Raptors Are Back. And This Time, It's Geological.
